Moss
Moss, an enigma, started in the grunge days of the 1990s with some of the best rock and alternative rock originals. The live performance is exceptional, featuring highly skilled and seasoned musicians.
Born out of the 1990s alternative grunge rock scene, Moss has performed and rocked the Long Island music scene with original music and covers since its inception, led by founding members Mark Hanna and Patrick Leonard. Mark Hanna – guitarist, vocalist, and writer /producer – has played the Long Island bar circuit for 30 years. He played for two years in the popular Shanghai China prog rock act, Cold Fairyland. Patrick Leonard – bassist, vocalist, and writer – has also played for many years on the Long Island bar circuit. Moss is working on releasing a mix of new and old recordings; they are in the process of remixing a few on analog tape. Moss is currently playing and recording with Russel Castaldo, a young, talented, very technical and gifted drummer who studied with John Sawicki (the drummer who holds the chair in the longstanding Broadway show, “Stomp.”) Paul Parenti, a longtime veteran of the Long Island Music scene, also plays drums. He is also an incredible technical drummer who plays with heart and soul, and who studied with the great rock drummer, Bobby Rondinelli, of the great Rick act rainbow aka Richie blackmore. Moss puts on a very entertaining live show that is a cut above the rest. Long live rock.
