Adelaide Punkin
Standing at 4'9", Adelaide Punkin, a young and Rocking performer from the Northwest corner of Connecticut, is a small but mighty musician. A returning act to the Montauk Music Festival, Adelaide and her Backing band will bring a powerhouse of a Performance. Showcasing anything from acoustic rock to pop-punk or singer-songwriter, this bands unique sound is here to change your perspective on music and help everyone dance and enjoy life just a little more!
Adelaide Punkin is known as a pint-sized force to be reckoned with! She is a regular on the New England music scene, busking and performing shows since she was 6. At the crisp age of 10, she began working and being mentored to become a professional musician. While playing covers from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s+, she and her band write music that is both relatable and danceable, with a hint of teen angst to help the world grow and change into a beautiful, music-filled place.
Adelaide is a founder of the non-profit organization Rock Yer Block: Musicians for Brain Injury Awareness. She and her team host concerts and fundraisers to promote awareness for people with acquired and traumatic brain injuries. The organization has an additional program called the Busk Stop, which is dedicated to promoting our First Amendment rights and encouraging up-and-coming musicians to try street performing throughout the state of Connecticut, just as Adelaide did.
Adelaide, her partner (and dad) AL-X, and her backing band Something Simple have achieved over 1,000 live performances over the past 11 years in and around New England and the tri-state area. They’ve played at major events like The Big E, the Montauk Music Festival, the Hartbeat Music Festival, and the Black Bear Americana Music Festival, just to name a few. With all that said Adelaide is a powerful and eye opening experience that you definitely don’t want to miss!
