Social Creatures

Brooklyn-based SOCIAL CREATURES weave freely back and forth between 80’s-inspired dance music and alternative rock. After a national tour supporting their debut album with stops in 30+ cities, the band are now promoting their most recent EP “This is Where the Love Lies” and writing their second LP.

Brooklyn-based SOCIAL CREATURES released their self-titled debut album in 2022 via BonFire Records. Stuffed with analog synths, nostalgic guitar riffs and eccentric grooves, the LP had several tracks featured on Apple Music’s “New in Alternative” curator playlist, and single Blue Lips will be featured in the upcoming Jamie Flatters (Avatar 2) film “Black Dog”.

Upon the LP’s release they hit the road on a national tour with stops in 30+ cities including
Pleasantville Music Festival, Musikfest and Montauk Music Festival, touring with Sam Roberts Band and sharing bills with acts like They Might Be Giants, The Allman Betts Band, The Wild Things, and more.

The band felt their greatest successes on their debut LP were found weaving freely back and
forth between 80’s-inspired dance music and alternative rock, and have written and recorded
their new “This Is Where the Love Lies” EP while on the road, further honing and dialing in this sound. New singles The Ravine and Nothing Changes were featured in Spotify’s All New Rock and Fresh Finds Rock editorial playlists.

The five-piece consists of Canadian singer Jono Robertson and fellow multi-instrumentalist Yann Palaric-Skinner, guitarist Dan Lazari, bassist and producer Jacob Ott and drummer John Patrick Roach, and are currently writing their second LP.
