No Sailor
No Sailor is the moniker of American singer-songwriter Kieran Garvey and his five-piece folk band. Their music has been described as "heartwarming and authentic" with "infectious, kinetic energy." Their debut album is a collection of delicate, powerful, and achingly honest songs, and is due out later this year.
Known for their energetic, raw, and intimate live show, these folk rockers are taking over stages big and small.
From festival stages to their early shows in small European cafes, No Sailor has a history of casting a net around their audience. Drawing on folk and rock roots, their sound is both fresh yet familiar, and has earned them comparisons to Mumford and Sons, the Lumineers, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
Their highly anticipated debut album, Anchor Broken Free, is due out later this year and features 10 songs they recorded in three different countries. The album was mixed in Scotland by acclaimed producer Paul Savage (Franz Ferdinand, Camera Obscura) and mastered in Los Angeles by Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys).
Don’t miss these folk rockers on the road this year as they’re “destined for the stages of Newport Folk Festival.”
