KATH fell in love with music at an early age, singing along to every Disney and classic rock song her parents played and performing for whoever would listen. She discovered the power of music in third grade when she tried out for a local church choir. KATH continued to perform in the choir, school plays, and picked up piano, playing for friends and family. However, when applying for college, she thought it best to let her passion for music take a back seat to a more practical path.
It didn’t take long after arriving at college for KATH to realize how wrong she was to leave music behind. She decided to try out the ukulele, purchased a small soprano uke, taught herself a few chords, and immediately began writing songs.
After graduating, KATH accepted a job with a media agency in New York City buying audio ads for brands, while performing at every open mic she could find. These performances expanded into acoustic covers at restaurants, bars, breweries, and wineries across New York City and Long Island. KATH began recording her music with a Long Island-based producer and started releasing music under her full name.
KATH began performing her original material at the Bitter End, where she received encouragement and enthusiasm from not only friends and family but industry professionals and new fans who loved her singer-songwriter melodies. She continued building her following, performing at iconic NYC venues like Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, and Mercury Lounge.
The positive feedback drove KATH to write more music, collaborate with other artists, and continue performing across NYC and Long Island. When the pandemic hit, KATH focused on refining her writing skills and eventually decided on a rebrand, leaning more heavily into pop. She met her new producer, Joey Auch, and they began working together remotely. KATH released her first single, “Can I Show You Crazy Yet,” followed by “How To Touch A Lady.”
She continued writing and releasing original music with catchy melodies and compelling stories influenced by artists like Dua Lipa, Kacey Musgraves, Ingrid Michaelson, and Benajmin Gibbard. Her new direction also brought exciting content across new social platforms and a website relaunch. KATH has continued to build her fanbase as a SoFar artist, playing across the tri-state area. She’s gearing up for several new singles in 2025 and is currently working on a music video.
