From Long Island, New York, Like A Version (LAV) was born from the ashes of an annual Halloween series. Just a bunch of friends that like to rip songs for anyone that would listen. The crowds grew, and so did their catalog. Once a passion for curating setlists became evident, it was decided to fully become LAV. It is a musician’s collective that cares deeply for each other, and for their audience. Every setlist is curated so that it’s not just a collection of songs that are being played, it’s a journey for the audience. The band started with Matt Sprague (Vocals), Omer Rahman (Guitar), Eugene Ruoff (Bass), Veronica Colon (Keys) and Ricky Cardona (Drums). Soon after John Baquet (Guitar) and Olivia Meihofer (Vocals) Joined the band. As the number of musicians grew, so did their musical range. Spanning multiple musical genres, LAV has an ever-expanding catalog. As a first timer at Montauk Music Festival, LAV plans to bring the house down for every show they put on. You DO NOT want to miss them.
